EAVES WILDER WON’T YOU BE HAPPY

Aged just sixteen, Eaves Wilder has already put together a euphoric anthem most couldn’t dream of creating. She explains that ‘Won’t You Be Happy’ was written on “the first day of UK lockdown, to cheer myself up. It feels like everything moves so quickly when you’re a teenager, and then for everything to grind to a halt is really frustrating.” The guitar-driven track opens with an ethereal, atmospheric sound, before exploding into a grungy alt-rock sound not too distant from the likes of Hole. Expect more from this newcomer as she develops a powerful voice. - Dan Peeke
